Magnetic Engines obtains approval from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), marking an important step in expanding its presence in the region.

The approval covers the full scope of Magnetic Engines’ capabilities and enables direct cooperation with airlines in South Africa, where operators are required to work with approved vendors for engine repair. Until now, this requirement has limited access to the market, even though the Tallinn engine shop has already supported several engine repair events linked to the region.

“This approval will strengthen the services we already provide in the region and allow us to attract work from both large and smaller operators in South Africa,” says Victoria Goodenough, Business Development Manager at Magnetic Engines. “There are only a few MROs with SACAA approval, which makes this an important step in strengthening our position with both existing and prospective customers.”

For Magnetic Engines, this milestone broadens access to the South African market and supports the company’s continued development in the region. Magnetic Engines focus there is on CFM56-3 and CFM56-7 engines, in line with the capabilities of its shop.
